Role of sumoylation in the replication of cytomegalovirus

Area: Virology
A recent study in the Journal of Virology investigates the role of sumoylation on the replication of cytomegalovirus (CMV). CMV belongs to the herpes viruses and is widely found throughout the world. Mutations in sumoylation sites severely decrease the replication abilities of the virus. On antibodies-online you will find antibodies specific for CMV pp28, and CMV ICP36 DNA Binding Protein which have been utilized in the current study.
