Importance of genregion UL112-113 in the replication of human Cytomegalovirus (HCMV)

Area: Virology
The human cytomegalovirus (HCMV) UL112-113 region encodes four phosphoproteins via alternative splicing that are thought to be required for efficient viral DNA replication. A recent study investigated the role of these proteins and found that an interaction and complex building with other proteins, such as UL84, occurs. The utilized antibody against UL84 can be found on antibodies-online.
