Antigen
Alternative Name Epidermal Growth Factor (EGF Antibody Abstract)
Background Produced from sera of goats pre-immunized with highly pure (>98%) recombinant mEGF (murine EGF). Anti-Murine EGF specific antibody was purified by affinity chromatography employing immobilized mEGF matrix.
Pathways NF-kappaB Signaling, RTK Signaling, Fc-epsilon Receptor Signaling Pathway, EGFR Signaling Pathway, Neurotrophin Signaling Pathway, Regulation of Carbohydrate Metabolic Process, Hepatitis C, Protein targeting to Nucleus, Interaction of EGFR with phospholipase C-gamma, Thromboxane A2 Receptor Signaling, EGFR Downregulation

Application Notes To yield one-half maximal inhibition [ND₅₀] of the biological activity of mEGF (0.1 ng/µl), a concentration of 3.0 - 5.0 ng/µl of this antibody is required. To detect mEGF by indirect ELISA (using 100 µl/well antibody solution) a concentration of 0.5 - 2.0 µg/ml of this antibody is required. This antigen affinity purified antibody, in conjunction with compatible secondary reagents, allows the detection of at least 0.2 - 0.4 ng/well of recombinant mEGF. To detect mEGF by sandwich ELISA (using 100 µl/well antibody solution) a concentration of 0.5 - 2.0 µg/ml of this antibody is required. This antigen affinity purified antibody, in conjunction with PromoKine's Biotinylated Anti-Murine EGF (PK-AB815-60170GMB) as a detection antibody, allows the detection of at least 0.2 - 0.4 ng/well of recombinant mEGF. To detect mEGF by Western Blot analysis this antibody can be used at a concentration of 0.1 - 0.2 µg/ml. Used in conjunction with compatible secondary reagents the detection limit for recombinant mEGF is 1.5 - 3.0 ng/lane, under either reducing or non-reducing conditions. Immunihostochemistry: NA.
