|Alternative Name||CD271 / NGFR (NGFR Antibody Abstract)|
Neurotrophins signal cell survival, differentiation, growth cessation, and apoptosisthrough two classes of cell surface receptors, the Trks and NGF Receptor (p75NTR).p75NTR, when activated in the absence of a strong Trk signal, induces apoptosis ofneurons, while in the presence of Trk it enhances responses to neurotrophin (1).p75NTR, when it is not bound by NGF, may play a role in neuronal selection duringembryonic development and suggest that neuroblastomas may arise from immatureneuroblasts that escape programmed cell death. Therefore, the loss of p75NTRexpression in developing neural crest cells might be a primary event in the genesis ofneuroblastoma (2). It has also been suggested that neuronal death in Alzheimer'sdisease is mediated, at least in part, by the interaction of beta-amyloid with p75NTR,and suggest new targets for therapeutic intervention (3). Alternate Names: anti-Gp80 LNGFR antibody, anti-Low affinity nerve growth factor receptor antibody,anti-Low affinity neurotrophin receptor p75NTR antibody, anti-NGF receptor antibody,anti-p75 ICD antibody, anti-CD271 antibody, anti-CD271 antigen antibody, anti-Nervegrowth factor receptor antibody, anti-Nerve growth factor receptor TNFR superfamilymember 16 antibody, anti-NGFR antibody, anti-p75 Neurotrophin receptor antibody,anti-p75 NTR antibody, anti-TNFR Superfamily Member 16 antibody, anti-TNFRSF16antibody, anti-Tumor necrosis factor receptor superfamily member 16 antibody.

|Buffer||PBS 49 % , Glycerol 50 % , BSA 0.05 % , Sodium Azide|
|Precaution of Use||WARNING: Reagents contain sodium azide. Sodium azide is very toxic if ingested or inhaled. Avoid contact with skin, eyes, or clothing. Wear eye or face protection when handling. If skin or eye contact occurs, wash with copious amounts of water. If ingested or inhaled, contact a physician immediately. Sodium azide yields toxic hydrazoic acid under acidic conditions. Dilute azide-containing compounds in running water before discarding to avoid accumulation of potentially explosive deposits in lead or copper plumbing.|
|Handling Advice||Avoid freeze-thaw cycles|
|Storage Comment||-20 °C.|
