Description Angiopoietin 1 and Angiopoietin 2 are important for development of the endothelium, byregulating tyrosine phosphorylation of the membrane receptor Tie 2/Tek. Angiopoietin 2 isonly 60% homologous with Angiopoietin 1. Angiopoietin 1 binding to Tie 2/Tek causesphosphorylation of the receptor. Angiopoietin 2 competes for this binding, and thus blocksreceptor phosphorylation. Angiopoietin 2 expression occurs at sites of vascularremodelling: dorsal aorta and major aortic branches, ovary, placenta and uterus.

Application Notes Intended for use as a Control Peptide when used with anti-Mouse Angiopoietin 2 to blockspecific interaction of anti-Mouse Angiopoietin 2 with Mouse Angiopoietin 2. Control peptide should be used at 1.0 g per 1.0 l of antiserum in per assay. Other applications not tested. Optimal dilutions are dependent on conditions and should be determined by the user. Add.
