| Characteristics | Synonyms: O-GlcNAc transferase subunit p110, UDP-N-acetylglucosamine--peptideN-acetylglucosaminyltransferase 110 kDa subunit, O-linked N-acetylglucosaminetransferase 110 kDa subunit |
| Swiss-Prot | O15294 |
| Description | O-linked N-acetylglucosamine (O-GlcNAc) transferase (OGT) catalyzes the addition of asingle N-acetylglucosamine in O-glycosidic linkage to serine or threonine residues. Sinceboth phosphorylation and glycosylation compete for similar serine or threonine residues, the two processes may compete for sites, or they may alter the substrate specificity ofnearby sites by steric or electrostatic effects. The protein contains nine tetratricopeptiderepeats and a putative bipartite nuclear localization signal. |
| Specificity | OGT Antibody (C-term) Blocking PeptideAdd. Information: Molecular Weight: 1784. 49 Da. This peptide is for use with antibody ABIN453239 only. |
