Specificity The synthetic peptide sequence used to generate the antibody AP3073a was selected from the region of human Phospho-cJun-S63. A 10 to 100 fold molar excess to antibody is recommended. Precise conditions should be optimized for a particular assay.
Background The gene for cJun is the putative transforming gene of avian sarcoma virus 17. The cJun protein is a transcription factor highly similar to the viral protein, and interacts directly with specific target DNA sequences to regulate gene expression. The gene maps to 1p32-p31, a chromosomal region involved in both translocations and deletions in human malignancies.
