Immunogen Synthetic peptide
Alternative Name DAOA
Background DAOA is a protein that is an activator of the FAD-dependent enzyme D-amino acid oxidase, which degrades the gliotransmitter D-serine, a potent activator of N-methyl-D-aspartate (NMDA) type glutamate receptors. Polymorphisms in this gene have been implicated in susceptibility to schizophrenia and bipolar affective disorder, possibly due to decreased levels of D-serine and decreased NMDA receptor functioning.

Storage 4 °C/-20 °C
Storage Comment Maintain refrigerated at 2-8°C for up to 6 months. For long term storage store at -20°C in small aliquots to prevent freeze-thaw cycles
