Antigen
Alternative Name Transportin 1 (TNPO1 Antibody Abstract)
Background Heterogeneous nuclear ribonucleoprotein hnRNPA1 is an abundant nuclear protein thatplays an important role in pre-mRNA processing and mRNA export from the nucleus. A1shuttles rapidly between the nucleus and the cytoplasm, and a 38-amino acid domain,M9, serves as the bi-directional transport signal of A1. Recently, a 90-kD protein, transportin, was identified as the mediator of A1 nuclear import. Transportin mediatesthe nuclear import of additional hnRNP proteins, including hnRNPF. The nuclearlocalization of A1 is dependent on ongoing RNA polymerase II transcription. Alternate Names: Anti-Importin beta 2 antibody, Anti-IPO 2 antibody, Anti-IPO2 antibody, Anti-Karyopherin(importin) beta 2 antibody, Anti-KPNB 2 antibody, Anti-KPNB2 antibody, Anti-M9 regioninteracting protein antibody, Anti-M9 region interaction protein antibody,Anti-M9-interacting protein antibody, Anti-MIP antibody, Anti-MIP1 antibody, Anti-TNPO1 antibody, Anti-TNPO1 antibody, Anti-Transportin antibody, Anti-Transportin1 antibody,Anti-TRN antibody.

Precaution of Use WARNING: Reagents contain sodium azide. Sodium azide is very toxic if ingested or inhaled. Avoid contact with skin, eyes, or clothing. Wear eye or face protection when handling. If skin or eye contact occurs, wash with copious amounts of water. If ingested or inhaled, contact a physician immediately. Sodium azide yields toxic hydrazoic acid under acidic conditions. Dilute azide-containing compounds in running water before discarding to avoid accumulation of potentially explosive deposits in lead or copper plumbing.
