    Background
UBE2F, also Known as Ubiquitin-conjugating enzyme E2 F, belongs to the ubiquitin-conjugating enzyme family and UBE2F subfamily. Ubiquitin-conjugating enzymes more rarely as ubiquitin-carrier enzymes, perform the second step in the ubiquitination reaction that targets a protein for degradation via the proteasome. UBE2F accepts the ubiquitin-like protein NEDD8 from the UBA3-NAE1 E1 complex and catalyzes its covalent attachment to other proteins. Recombinant human UBE2F protein, fused to His-tag at N-terminus, was expressed in E.coli and purified by using conventional chromatography techniques.
