Characteristics
The protein is biologically active as determined by MMP-1 activity assay.
Description
Active MMP-1 catalytic domain from human cDNA, expressed in E.coli and purified using proprietary technologies. The active MMP-1 protein is very useful in studying enzyme kinetics, cleave target substrates, and screen for inhibitors, etc.

Molecular Weight
19.9 kDa
Purity
>90% by SDS-PAGE and HPLC Endotoxin level is <0.1 ng per μ g of MMP-1.

Buffer
Lyophilized powder
Storage
The lyophilized protein is best-stored desiccated below 0 °C. Reconstituted MMP1 should be stored in working aliquots at -20 °C. For long-term storage, it is recommended to add carrier protein (0.1% HAS or BSA). Reconstitution: Centrifuge the vial prior to opening. Reconstitute in sterile PBS to a concentration of 0.1-1.0 mg/ml. This solution can then be diluted into other aqueous buffers and stored at 4 °C for 1 week or –20 °C for future use.
