Additional Information

Gene ID 4254
UniProt P21583
Endotoxin Level <0.1 ng/µg
Description Stem Cell Factor (SCF) is a hematopoietic growth factor that exerts its activity at the early stages of hematopoiesis. SCF stimulates the proliferation of myeloid, erythroid, and lymphoid progenitors in bone marrow cultures. Human SCF is an 18.4 kDa protein containing 165 amino acid residues.
Synonyms: Human SCF, SCF, h-SCF, rh-SCF, recombinant human SCF, recombinant SCF, Kit ligand Precursor, C-kit ligand, SCF, Mast cell growth factor, MGF, SF, KL-1, Kitl, DKFZp686F2250.
Characteristics The ED₅₀ as determined by the dose-dependent stimulation of the proliferation of human TF-1 cells is < 2 ng/ml, corresponding to a specific activity of >5 x 10⁵ units/mg.
Molecular Weight 18.4 kDa
