    Background
CFL2 protein belongs to the actin-binding proteins ADF family that contains 1 ADF-H domain. Cofilin is a widely distributed intracellular actin-modulating protein that binds and depolymerizes filamentous F-actin and inhibits the polymerization of monomeric G-actin in a pH-dependent manner. Defects in CFL2 are the cause of nemaline myopathy type 7 (NEM7). Recombinant human CFL2 protein, fused to His-tag at N-terminus, was expressed in E.coli and purified by using conventional chromatography techniques. Synonyms: Cofilin-2, NEM7. NCBI no.: NP_068733
