  7. 8. Study show that a high percentage of intratumoral NRP1 (show NELL1 Antibodies)(+) Tregs correlates with poor prognosis in melanoma and head and neck squamous cell carcinoma.

  9. Study revels the structural description of the neuropilin-1 ectopic region by reporting the crystal structure of its MAM (show ATF7IP Antibodies) domain. 10. Data suggest that neuropilin-1 (NRP1) functions as a receptor for neutrophil elastase (NE (show ELANE Antibodies)), mediates uptake/absorption of NE, and facilitates cross-presentation of PR1 (show TMEM37 Antibodies) (a peptide fragment of NE) in breast cancer cells.

  2. Ectopic midline vascularisation in endothelial Nrp1 and Vegfa (show VEGFA Antibodies)(188/188) mutants caused additional axonal exclusion zones within the chiasm.

  3. Data suggest that Nrp1 (neuropilin-1) regulates Hedgehog (show SHH Antibodies) signaling specifically at the level of activation of GLI2 (show GLI2 Antibodies) transcriptional activator function; Nrp1 localization to primary cilium does not correlate with Hedgehog (show SHH Antibodies) signal promotion. These studies were conducted in various cell types. (GLI2 (show GLI2 Antibodies) = GLI-Kruppel family member GLI2 (show GLI2 Antibodies) protein)

  4. These studies reported that myeloid cell-specific Nrp1-deficient mice exhibited enhanced susceptibility to cecal ligation and puncture- and LPS (show TLR4 Antibodies)-induced sepsis, which correlated with significantly decreased survival rates and heightened levels of proinflammatory cytokines in both peritoneal lavage and serum.

  5. our data suggest a novel molecular mechanism by which tMUC1 may modulate NRP1-dependent VEGFR (show KDR Antibodies) signaling in PDA cells.

  6. VEGF165-induced vascular leakage requires both VEGFR2 (show KDR Antibodies) and NRP1, including the VEGF164 (show VEGFA Antibodies)-binding site of NRP1 and the NRP1 cytoplasmic domain (NCD), but not the known NCD interactor GIPC1 (show GIPC1 Antibodies).

  7. demonstrate that NRP-1 is necessary for VEGF (show VEGFA Antibodies) to inhibit bone marrow-derived DC (BMDC) maturation; further demonstrate that NRP-1 associates with TLR4 (show TLR4 Antibodies), but not VEGFR2 (show KDR Antibodies), in a VEGF (show VEGFA Antibodies)-dependent manner, and abrogates TLR signaling; results reveal a novel role for NRP-1 in DC physiology and identify NRP-1 as a target to manipulate BMDC maturation

Neuropilin 1 (NRP1) Antigen Profile

Antigen Summary

This gene encodes one of two neuropilins, which contain specific protein domains which allow them to participate in several different types of signaling pathways that control cell migration. Neuropilins contain a large N-terminal extracellular domain, made up of complement-binding, coagulation factor V/VIII, and meprin domains. These proteins also contains a short membrane-spanning domain and a small cytoplasmic domain. Neuropilins bind many ligands and various types of co-receptors\; they affect cell survival, migration, and attraction. Some of the ligands and co-receptors bound by neuropilins are vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) and semaphorin family members. Several alternatively spliced transcript variants that encode different protein isoforms have been described for this gene.
