Role of Tmod2 protein's leucine rich repeat domain in the formation of neurite-like processes
Tmod2 plays a role in behavior, learning, memory, and synaptic plasticity.
levels of TM1 (show TPM2 Antibodies), TM2 (show TPM2 Antibodies) and TM3 (show TPM1 Antibodies) are reduced in human transitional cell carcinoma cells, but significantly upregulated by inhibition of the mitogen-activated protein kinase (show MAPK1 Antibodies)-signaling pathway
This gene encodes a neuronal-specific member of the tropomodulin family of actin-regulatory proteins. The encoded protein caps the pointed end of actin filaments preventing both elongation and depolymerization. The capping activity of this protein is dependent on its association with tropomyosin. Alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been described.
