Antigen
Alternative Name MERTK (MERTK Antibody Abstract)
Background MerTK (c-mer, Nyk, Eyk) is a tyrosine kinase that belongs to a family of transmembranereceptors (1). MerTk has been implicated in reversible cell growth arrest, survival, proliferation and cell adhesion. Growth arrest specific protein 6 (Gas6) is an activatingligand for MerTK (2-3). MerTK is required for clearance of apoptotic cells bymononuclear phagocytes in mice, with its absence resulting in progressive lupus likeautoimmunity (4). Defects in MERTK are a cause of retinitis pigmentosa (RP) (5). Alternate Names: anti-c MER antibody, anti-c mer proto oncogene tyrosine kinase antibody, anti-cMERantibody, anti-cmer protooncogene tyrosine kinase antibodyanti-MER antibody, anti-MER receptor tyrosine kinase antibody, anti-MERK antibody,anti-MERPEN antibody, anti-MGC133349 antibody, anti-Proto oncogene tyrosineprotein kinase MER antibody, anti-Proto oncogene tyrosine protein kinase MERprecursor antibody, anti-Receptor tyrosine kinase MerTK antibody, anti-STK kinaseantibody.

Buffer PBS 49 % , Glycerol 50 % , BSA 0.05 % , Sodium Azide
Preservative Sodium azide
Precaution of Use WARNING: Reagents contain sodium azide. Sodium azide is very toxic if ingested or inhaled. Avoid contact with skin, eyes, or clothing. Wear eye or face protection when handling. If skin or eye contact occurs, wash with copious amounts of water. If ingested or inhaled, contact a physician immediately. Sodium azide yields toxic hydrazoic acid under acidic conditions. Dilute azide-containing compounds in running water before discarding to avoid accumulation of potentially explosive deposits in lead or copper plumbing.
