Antigen
Alternative Name Neprilysin/CD10 (MME Antibody Abstract)
Background CD10 is a 100 kD neutral endopeptidase and a member of the metalloprotease family. Itis a type II transmembrane protein, also known as common acute lymphoblasticleukemia antigen (CALLA), enkephalinase and neprilysin. CD10 is expressed on B cellprecursors, T cell precursors, and neutrophils. CD10 is involved in B cell developmentand has been shown to bind opioid enkephalins, bradykinin, angiotensins I and II, andother biologically active peptides. Alternate Names: anti-Common acute lymphoblastic leukemia antigen (CALLA) antibody,anti-Enkephalinase antibody, anti-Neutral endopeptidase antibody, anti-Neprilysinantibody.
Gene Symbol: MME
Gene ID 4311
Research Area CD Antigens, Surface Receptors of Immune Cells
Pathways RTK Signaling

Application Notes Each lot of this antibody is quality control tested by immunofluorescent staining with flow cytometric analysis. For immunofluorescent staining, the suggested use of this reagent is: 0.5 microgram per one million cells in 100 microliter volume or 100 microliter of whole blood. For Western blotting, the suggested use of this reagent is: 4 microgram/ml. It is recommended that the reagent be titrated for optimal performance for each application.
Restrictions For Research Use only

Handling

Concentration 0.5 mg/mL
Buffer PBS [pH 7.2], Sodium Azide
Preservative Sodium azide
Precaution of Use WARNING: Reagents contain sodium azide. Sodium azide is very toxic if ingested or inhaled. Avoid contact with skin, eyes, or clothing. Wear eye or face protection when handling. If skin or eye contact occurs, wash with copious amounts of water. If ingested or inhaled, contact a physician immediately. Sodium azide yields toxic hydrazoic acid under acidic conditions. Dilute azide-containing compounds in running water before discarding to avoid accumulation of potentially explosive deposits in lead or copper plumbing.
Handling Advice Do not freeze.
Storage 4 °C
