Product Details anti-PDGFRA Antibody

Target Details PDGFRA Application Details Handling Images
Specificity NB100-65840 is specific for PDGF receptor alpha. The ND50 was determined as 0.2-0.6 µg/ml for blocking 10 ng/ml of PDGF-AA biological activity on a quiescent confluent cell culture of human WS1 cells. PDGF is a major serum mitogen that can exist as a homo- or heterodimeric protein consisting of disulphide-linked PDGF-A and PDGF-B chains. The PDGF-AA, PDGF-BB and PDGF-AB isoforms have been shown to bind to two distinct cellsurface PDGF receptors with different affinities. Whereas PDGF receptor alpha binds all three isoforms with high affinity, PDGF R beta binds PDGF-BB and AB but not PDGF-AA. Both PDGF receptor alpha and beta are members of the class III subfamily of receptor tyrosine kinases.
Purification Protein G purified
Immunogen Purified recombinant human platelet-derived growth factor (PDGF) receptor alpha (extracellular domain), derived from the insect cell line Sf21.

Antigen
Alternative Name PDGF R alpha (PDGFRA Antibody Abstract)
Background Platelet derived growth factor receptor (PDGF Receptor) is a transmembraneglycoprotein of 170-185 kDa which undergoes homo or heterodimerization intocomplexes of alpha and beta subunits upon ligand binding, depending on the isoform ofPDGF (PDGF AA, BB or AB) that binds. The phosphorylation of tyrosine residues in thenow activated receptor can control multiple signaling events such as actinreorganization, transcription, cell growth, migration and differentiation, and also lead toactivation of the Ras, Raf and ERK 1 and 2 pathway. This Ab blocks PDGF Receptoralpha mediated biological activity induced by PDGF-AA. Alternate Names: anti-Alpha platelet derived growth factor receptor antibody, anti-CD 140a antibody,anti-CD140a antibody, anti-CD140a antigen antibody, anti-MGC74795 antibody,anti-PDGF alpha chain antibody, anti-PDGF R alpha antibody, anti-PDGFR 2 antibody,anti-PDGFR A antibody, anti-PDGFR alpha antibody, anti-PDGFR2 antibody,anti-PDGFRA antibody, anti-Platelet derived growth factor receptor 2 antibody,anti-Platelet derived growth factor receptor alpha antibody, anti-Platelet derived growthfactor receptor alpha polypeptide antibody.

Concentration 1.0 mg/mL
Buffer Phosphate buffered saline, pH 7.2, 10 % Trehalose, Sodium Azide
Preservative Sodium azide
Precaution of Use WARNING: Reagents contain sodium azide. Sodium azide is very toxic if ingested or inhaled. Avoid contact with skin, eyes, or clothing. Wear eye or face protection when handling. If skin or eye contact occurs, wash with copious amounts of water. If ingested or inhaled, contact a physician immediately. Sodium azide yields toxic hydrazoic acid under acidic conditions. Dilute azide-containing compounds in running water before discarding to avoid accumulation of potentially explosive deposits in lead or copper plumbing.
