The T cell coreceptor CD8 is a cell-surface glycoprotein expressed either as adisulfide-linked homodimer of two CD8alpha monomers, or a heterodimer of CD8alphaand CD8beta. These receptors interact with ligands, such as major histocompatibilitycomplex (MHC) class I, on the outside of the cell, with proteins inside the cell, such asthe tyrosine kinase p56lck, and possibly with proteins on the same cell-surface (1). CD8plays an important role in T cell development in the thymus and T cell activation in theperiphery (2). For Mouse, this antibody is only recommended for Western blot,flow cytometry, this antibody is not useful for IHC on mouse tissue. Rat cross reactivity tested by Western blot only. Customer review indicates poor reactivity in Woodchuck.

. Washing buffer:TBST washing buffer: 1XTBS/0.1 % Tween-20To prepare stock solution of 10X TBS: add 24.2 g Trizma base and 80 g sodium chloride to 1L of dH2O. Adjust pH to 7.6.Working solution. 1XTBST/0.1 % Tween-20: add 100ml 10XTBS to 900 mL dH2O. Add 1 mL Tween-20 and mix well.1.
