Antigen
Alternative Name CD8 alpha (CD8A Antibody Abstract)
Background The CD8 antigen is a cell surface glycoprotein found on most cytotoxic T lymphocytesthat mediates efficient cell to cell interactions within the immune system. The CD8antigen, acting as a coreceptor, and the T cell receptor on the T lymphocyte recognizeantigen displayed by an antigen presenting cell (APC) in the context of class I MHCmolecules. The functional coreceptor is either a homodimer composed of two alphachains, or a heterodimer composed of one alpha and one beta chain. Both alpha andbeta chains share significant homology to immunoglobulin variable light chains. Alternate Names: anti-CD 8 antibody, anti-CD 8A antibody, anti-CD 8B antibody, anti-CD8 antigen alphapolypeptide antibody, anti-CD8A antibody, anti-CD8a antigen antibody, anti-CD8amolecule antibody, anti-CD8B antibody, anti-CD8b antigen antibody, anti-CD8b antigenisoform 2 antibody, anti-CD8b molecule antibody, anti-CD8B protein antibody,anti-CD8B1 antibody, anti-Leu2 antibody, anti-Leu2 T lymphocyte antigen antibody,anti-Ly3 antibody, anti-LYT3 antibody, anti-MAL antibody, anti-MGC119115 antibody,anti-OKT8 T Cell antigen antibody, anti-p32 antibody, anti-T cell antigen Leu2 antibody,anti-T cell surface glycoprotein CD8 alpha chain antibody, anti-T cell surfaceglycoprotein CD8 beta chain antibody, anti-T lymphocyte differentiation antigen T8/Leu2 antibody.

Concentration 1.0 mg/mL
Buffer Phosphate buffered saline pH 7.4, Sodium Azide
Preservative Sodium azide
Precaution of Use WARNING: Reagents contain sodium azide. Sodium azide is very toxic if ingested or inhaled. Avoid contact with skin, eyes, or clothing. Wear eye or face protection when handling. If skin or eye contact occurs, wash with copious amounts of water. If ingested or inhaled, contact a physician immediately. Sodium azide yields toxic hydrazoic acid under acidic conditions. Dilute azide-containing compounds in running water before discarding to avoid accumulation of potentially explosive deposits in lead or copper plumbing.
Handling Advice Avoid freeze-thaw cycles
Storage 4 °C
Storage Comment 4 °C short term. Aliquot and store at -20 °C long term.
