CaMK2a (CAMKII alpha, CaM Kinase 2 alpha) is a prominent Ser/Thr kinase in the central nervous system thatfunctions in long-term potentiation and neurotransmitter release. A member of the NMDAR signaling complex at the excitatory synapse, it regulates NMDAR-dependent potentiation of the AMPAR and synaptic plasticity. CAMK2a is composed of alpha, beta, gamma, and delta chains that assemble into homo- or heteromultimeric holoenzymes composed of 8 to 12 subunits. CaMK2a interacts with BAALC, MPDZ, SYN1, CAMK2N2 and SYNGAP1.
Each vial contains 0.1 mg IgG in 0.1 mL of PBS pH7.4 with 0.09% sodium azide.

Warning: This product contains sodium azide, which has been classified as Xn (Harmful), in European Directive 67/548/EEC in the concentration range of 0.1 - 1.0 %. When disposing of this reagent through lead or copper plumbing, flush with copious volumes of water to prevent azide build-up in drains.
