GCA product, grancalcin, is a calcium-binding protein abundant in neutrophils and macrophages. Additionally we are shipping Grancalcin Antibodies (27) and Grancalcin Kits (2) and many more products for this protein.
Showing 10 out of 15 products:
Homozygous Gca (show GUCA1A Proteins) mutants appeared healthy and reproduced normally. Leukocyte recruitment into the peritoneal cavity upon induction of inflammation was not significantly affected by the absence of grancalcin.
findings suggest that grancalcin plays a key role in leukocyte-specific functions that are responsible for host defense
Adhesion to fibronectin (show FN1 Proteins) of grancalcin-deficient neutrophils was decreased by 60% compared to control cells.
Results indicate that heterodimerization of GCA (show NPR1 Proteins) and TLR9 (show TLR9 Proteins) is important for TLR9 (show TLR9 Proteins)-mediated downstream signaling and might serve to fine tune processes against viral infection.
GCA (show NPR1 Proteins) interacts with SRI (show SRI Proteins) in vivo and in vitro.
The reported type 1 diabetes association is from a linkage disequilibrium region including three candidate genes, FAP, IFIH1 (show IFIH1 Proteins) and GCA (show NPR1 Proteins).
IFIH1 (show IFIH1 Proteins) interferon (show IFNA Proteins) induced helicase, GCA grancalcin or the potassium channel (show KCNAB2 Proteins) KCNH7 (show KCNH7 Proteins) - are potential candidates implicated in the pathogenesis of multiple sclerosis.
IFIH1 (show IFIH1 Proteins)-GCA (show NPR1 Proteins)-KCNH7 (show KCNH7 Proteins) locus is not associated with genetic susceptibility to multiple sclerosis in French patients
This gene product, grancalcin, is a calcium-binding protein abundant in neutrophils and macrophages. It belongs to the penta-EF-hand subfamily of proteins which includes sorcin, calpain, and ALG-2. Grancalcin localization is dependent upon calcium and magnesium. In the absence of divalent cation, grancalcin localizes to the cytosolic fraction\; with magnesium alone, it partitions with the granule fraction\; and in the presence of magnesium and calcium, it associates with both the granule and membrane fractions, suggesting a role for grancalcin in granule-membrane fusion and degranulation.
