More ELISA Kits for Pannexin 2 Interaction Partners

Human Pannexin 2 (PANX2) interaction partners

  1. All three pannexins Panx1, Panx2, and Panx3 mRNAs were expressed in all of the analyzed undifferentiated stem cell lines.

  2. Panx2 mRNA and protein levels were only upregulated in focal cortical dysplasia type IIb lesions of intractable epilepsy patients and characteristically expressed on SOX2 (show SOX2 ELISA Kits)-positive multipotential balloon cells.

  3. Panx2 is an important regulator of the insulin (show INS ELISA Kits) secretory capacity and apoptosis in pancreatic beta-cells.

  4. The results of this study do not support a major contribution of PANX1 (show PANX1 ELISA Kits)-3 to disease risk of schizophrenia according to DSM-5.

  5. There is dense expression of Panx2 in the enteric nervous system. The substantial increase in Panx2 mRNA in ulcerative colitis (UC) muscle but not protein suggests that the Panx2 translation process may be disrupted in UC.

  6. Data suggest that both up-regulation and down-regulation of expression of pannexins (PANX1, PANX2, PANX3) are associated with disease onset and/or progression; examples include neoplasms, multiple sclerosis, migraine, and hypertension. [REVIEW]

  7. Panx1 (show PANX1 ELISA Kits) and Panx2 expression was detected in the temporal lobe cortex of patients with temporal lobe epilepsy and in the control tissues.

  8. Pannexin1 (show PANX1 ELISA Kits) and Pannexin2 channels show quaternary similarities to connexons and different oligomerization numbers from each other

  9. These data do not suggest that Panx2 or Cx36 could increase the risk of schizophrenia in the Japanese population.

  10. According to brain cancer gene expression database REMBRANDT, PANX2 expression levels can predict post diagnosis survival for patients with glial tumors.

Mouse (Murine) Pannexin 2 (PANX2) interaction partners

  1. Panx2 is an important regulator of the insulin (show INS ELISA Kits) secretory capacity and apoptosis in pancreatic beta-cells.

  2. It used overlap-extension cloning to create the first chimeric Panx, consisting of Panx2 with the Panx1 (show PANX1 ELISA Kits) C-terminus (Panx2(Panx1CT)), to determine whether the Panx1 (show PANX1 ELISA Kits) C-terminus influences the trafficking of Panx2.

  3. ). Pannexin double-knockout mice (Px1 (show PANX1 ELISA Kits)(-/-) Px2(-/-)) were less impaired in parameters such as exploration, anxiety, sensorimotor function and behavioral symmetry.

  4. In situ hybridization revealed that mRNAs for Panx1 (show PANX1 ELISA Kits) and Panx2 were both expressed in the olfactory epithelium and olfactory bulb.

  5. Px1 (show PANX1 ELISA Kits) and Px2 underlie channel function in neurons and contribute to ischemic brain damage

  6. Pannexin 2 is expressed by postnatal hippocampal neural progenitors and modulates neuronal commitment

  7. Panx2 strongly interacts with the core and high-mannose species of Panx1 (show PANX1 ELISA Kits) but not with Panx3. The combination of Panx1 (show PANX1 ELISA Kits) & Panx2 results in compromised channel function.

  8. Results reveal a widespread and similar mRNA distribution for both pannexin 1 (show PANX1 ELISA Kits) and 2, but indicate that they are inversely regulated during the development of the rat brain.

  9. Panx1 (show PANX1 ELISA Kits) and Panx2 are abundantly expressed in the retina, and may therefore contribute to the electrical and metabolic coupling, or to signaling between retinal neurons

  10. Data show that Panx2 is expressed in the spiral and Scarpa's ganglion neurons.

Pannexin 2 (PANX2) Antigen Profile

Antigen Summary

The protein encoded by this gene belongs to the innexin family. Innexin family members are the structural components of gap junctions. This protein and pannexin 1 are abundantly expressed in central nervous system (CNS) and are coexpressed in various neuronal populations. Studies in Xenopus oocytes suggest that this protein alone and in combination with pannexin 1 may form cell type-specific gap junctions with distinct properties. Multiple transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been found for this gene.
