Showing 5 out of 6 products:
SNX7 is a liver-enriched antiapoptotic protein that is indispensable for the survival of hepatoblasts during zebrafish early embryogenesis.
Overexpression of SNX7 in HEK293T cells reduces the levels of secreted Abeta (show APP Proteins) and beta-cleaved N-terminal APP (show APP Proteins) fragments (sAPPbeta). Moreover, SNX7 overexpression caused a significant reduction of the steady-state levels of APP (show APP Proteins) as well as of the cell surface APP (show APP Proteins) levels.
This gene encodes a member of the sorting nexin family. Members of this family contain a phox (PX) domain, which is a phosphoinositide binding domain, and are involved in intracellular trafficking. This protein does not contain a coiled coil region like some family members, and its exact function is unknown. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants. A related pseudogene has been identified on chromosome 11.
