Background
Anti-rat CD45RC monoclonal antibody reacts with the high molecular weight form (190-240 kDa) of the leukocyte common antigen (1) designated as CD45RC. This designation includes the 240 kDa form on B cells as well as a subfraction of the 190, 200 and 220 kDa forms, but not the 180 kDa form on T cells or thymocytes (2). ABIN133291can be used to identify B cells, all CD8 positive T cells, 75% CD4 positive cells and 50% of bone marrow cells. This antibody differentiates rat CD4 positive T cells into two phenotypically distinct populations differing in their helper activities (3,4). Applications include flow cytometry analysis.
