Characteristics: Reacts with a 100 kDa type I transmembrane glycoprotein present on more than 80 % of mature T cells and a subset of B cells. CD6 is also weakly expressed on cortical thymocytes. Recent evidence suggests that CD6 may have a role in T-cell activation. The antibody is useful for investigation of CD6+ B-cell function. This antibody is routinely tested by flow cytometric analysis. Other applications were tested during antibody development only or reported in the literature. Profile of peripheral blood lymphocytes analyzed by flow cytometry. Second step staining with Cat. No. 555988.
