OAT4 mediates the high-affinity Na+-independent transport ofesteron sulfate, dehydroepiandrosterone (DHEA) sulfate, and ochratoxin A, p-aminohippurate (PAH).OAT4 is expressed in the kidney and placenta. OAT4 might be responsible for the elimination anddetoxification of harmful anionic sybstances from the fetus.This antidody has been proved to be useful for immunohistochemistry .
