- Cross-Reactivity
- Human, Mouse (Murine), Rat (Rattus)
- Purification
- Anti-TrpC5 Antibody was purified by Protein G chromatography. A BLAST analysis was used to suggest cross-reactivity with TrpC5 from human, mouse, and rat based on 100% homology with the immunizing sequence. Cross-reactivity with TrpC5 from other sources has not been determined. Ion Channels research.

Background: Transient receptor potential cation channel, subfamily C, member 5, also known as TRPC5, is a subtype of the TRPC family of mammalian transient receptor potential ion channels. Homomultimeric TRPC5 and heteromultimeric TRPC5-TRPC1 channels are activated by extracellular reduced thioredoxin. This activation probably plays a role in rheumatoid arthritis. It has also been recently found to be involved in the action on anaesthetics such as choloform, halothane and propofol.
