    Immunohistochemistry (IHC), Immunoprecipitation (IP)
    Cross-Reactivity
    Human, Mouse (Murine), Rat (Rattus)
    Purification
Anti-Nav1.6 Antibody was purified by Protein G chromatography. A BLAST analysis was used to suggest cross-reactivity with Nav1.6 from Mouse, Human, and Rat based on 100% homology with the immunizing sequence. Cross-reactivity with Nav1.6 from other sources has not been determined. Ion Channels research.
    Immunogen

Immunogen: Nav1.6 Antibody was produced in mice by repeated immunizations raised against a synthetic peptide corresponding to the intracellular interdomain loop I-II of rat Nav1.6.

    Background

Synonyms: Scn8A, Sodium channel protein type 8 subunit alpha, Peripheral nerve protein type 4, PN4, Sodium channel 6, NaCh6, Sodium channel protein type VIII subunit alpha, Voltage-gated sodium channel subunit alpha Nav1.6

Background: Voltage gated sodium channels initiate action potentials in neurons. Nav1.6 subunits have been assessed to meditate resurgent and persistent sodium currents in cells with a resulting effect on repetitive firing behavior. Nav1.6 subunits have been found to activate at more negative voltages than other Nav subunits.
