Background
Semaphorin-6C is a Single-pass type I membrane protein that belongs to the semaphorin family. It contains 1 Sema domain and 1 PSI domain. Semaphorin-6C may be a stop signal for the dorsal root ganglion neurons in their target areas, and possibly also for other neurons. It may also be involved in the maintenance and remodeling of neuronal connections.
