Alternative Name Alpha-1-acid glycoprotein (A1AGP) (ORM1 Antibody Abstract)
Background Alpha-1-acid glycoprotein (A1AGP) or Orosomucoid (OMD) is a plasma glycoprotein synthesized by the liver. The protein is believed to regulate the interaction between blood cells and endothelial cells, and therefore also regulates the extravasation of the cells during infection and inflammation. A1AGP is a major acute phase reactant, both in man and in rat. It's concentration in blood plasma is elevated during acute inflammation, such as rheumatoid arthritis, bacterial infections, etc, and can be used for the diagnosis of inflammatory conditions.
Molecular Weight 44 kDa
UniProt P02764
Pathways Response to Growth Hormone Stimulus
Application Notes 1: 2000 (WB), use at an assay dependent dilution in (ELISA), (IP), (RIA)
Restrictions For Research Use only
Format Lyophilized
Reconstitution For reconstitution add 200 μL of sterile water
Handling Advice Please, remember to spin tubes briefly prior to opening them to avoid any losses that might occur from lyophilized material adhering to the cap or sides of the tubes.
Once reconstituted make aliquots to avoid repreated freeze-thaw cycles.
Storage -20 °C
Storage Comment store lyophilized/reconstituted at -20°C, once reconstituted make aliquots to avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles. Please, remember to spin tubes briefly prior to opening them to avoid any losses that might occur from lyophilized material adhering to the cap or sides of the tubes.
