results uncover an important role for IkappaBzeta in IL-36 signaling and validate IkappaBzeta as an attractive target for psoriasis therapy.
electrophilic properties of itaconate and derivatives regulate the IkappaBzeta-ATF3 (show ATF3 Proteins) inflammatory axis; results demonstrate that targeting the DI-IkappaBzeta regulatory axis could be an important new strategy for the treatment of IL-17 (show IL17A Proteins)-IkappaBzeta-mediated autoimmune diseases
In cultured macrophages, LPS (show TLR4 Proteins)-induced expression of monocyte chemoattractant protein (MCP)-1 (show CPT1B Proteins) was suppressed by NaN3 through inhibition of STAT1 (show STAT1 Proteins) and IkappaBzeta activities.
Data show that I-kappa-B-zeta (IkappaBzeta) regulates macrophage interleukin-10 (show IL10 Proteins) (IL_10) expression by directly activated the Il-10 (show IL10 Proteins) promoter.
A possible important role of Nfkbiz in modulating the progression of inflammatory diseases in which IFN-gamma (show IFNG Proteins) and IL-1 (show IL1A Proteins) are abundant.
Nfkbiz-/- keratinocytes were hypoproliferative. In skin from Nfkbiz-/- mice, the expression of the keratinocyte differentiation markers K10 (show KRT10 Proteins) and filaggrin (show FLG Proteins) were reduced, although that of K14 (show KRT14 Proteins) was unchanged.
These data reveal a previously unappreciated role for IkappaB-zeta in IFN-gamma (show IFNG Proteins) production in T cells and the immunoregulatory function of T regulatory cells.
The pyrimidine-rich IkappaBzeta-responsive site plays an essential role in productive interaction of IkappaBzeta with the p50 (show LSP1 Proteins)-DNA complex.
IkappaB-zeta regulates TLR-mediated CSR by inducing AID
The IkappaB-zeta-Akirin2 (show AKIRIN2 Proteins)-BAF60 complex physically links the NF-kappaB (show NFKB1 Proteins) and SWI (show SMARCA1 Proteins)/SNF (show SNRPA Proteins) complexes in innate immune cell activation.
we demonstrate that IkappaBzeta, a transcriptional co-activator, may play an important role in psoriasis and possibly other inflammatory diseases by mediating IL-17F (show IL17F Proteins)- driven effects.
this study shows association of common intragenic NFKBIZ polymorphisms with the risk of developing psoriasis
a specific IL-17A (show IL17A Proteins)-induced gene, NFKBIZ, which encodes IkappaB-zeta, a transcriptional regulator for NF-kappaB (show NFKB1 Proteins), was demonstrated to have a significant role for IL-17A (show IL17A Proteins)-induced gene expression.
In cultured macrophages, LPS (show IRF6 Proteins)-induced expression of monocyte chemoattractant protein (MCP)-1 (show CCL2 Proteins) was suppressed by NaN3 through inhibition of STAT1 (show STAT1 Proteins) and IkappaBzeta activities.
IkappaB-zeta regulates human monocyte pro-inflammatory responses induced by Streptococcus pneumoniae.
TNF-alpha (show TNF Proteins)- and IL-17A (show IL17A Proteins) mediate synergistic induction of DEFB4 (show DEFB104A Proteins) gene expression in human keratinocytes through IkappaBzeta
We propose a previously unappreciated role of IkappaBzeta in the inflammatory micromilieu as well as progression in glioma
These results indicate that the LPS (show IRF6 Proteins)/IL-1beta (show IL1B Proteins)-MyD88 (show MYD88 Proteins) axis plays a crucial role for stabilization of IkappaB-zeta mRNA.
Interferon-gamma (IFN-gamma (show IFNG Proteins)) interferes with the IL-1 (show IL1A Proteins)/IKB-zeta axis in beta-glucan-activated dendritic cells and promotes T cell-mediated immune responses with increased release of IFN-gamma (show IFNG Proteins) and IL-22 (show IL22 Proteins).
This gene is a member of the ankyrin-repeat family and is induced by lipopolysaccharide (LPS). The C-terminal portion of the encoded product which contains the ankyrin repeats, shares high sequence similarity with the I kappa B family of proteins. The latter are known to play a role in inflammatory responses to LPS by their interaction with NF-B proteins through ankyrin-repeat domains. Studies in mouse indicate that this gene product is one of the nuclear I kappa B proteins and an activator of IL-6 production. Two transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been found for this gene.
