- > 95 % as determined by SDS-PAGE and Coomassie blue staining
- Endotoxin Level
- Endotoxin level is <0.1 ng/μg of protein (<1EU/μg).
- Biological Activity Comment
- Assay #1: ED50 as determined by the dose-dependent stimulation of IL-8 production by Human PBMC is less than 10 ng/ml. Assay #2: TWEAK weakly induces the death of HT29 cells when cultured in the presence of IFN-gamma. ED50 for this effect is between 30-45 ng/ml.

- Background
- This gene encodes a member of the tumor necrosis factor superfamily. It encodes a hybrid protein composed of the cytoplasmic and transmembrane domains of family member 12 fused to the C-terminal domain of family member 13. The hybrid protein is membrane anchored and presents the receptor-binding domain of family member 13 at the cell surface. It stimulates cycling in T- and B-lymphoma cell lines.
