Key Benefits:
- Made in Germany - from design to production - by highly experienced protein experts.
- Protein expressed with ALiCE® and purified in one-step affinity chromatography
- State-of-the-art algorithm used for plasmid design (Gene synthesis).
This protein is a predefined custom protein and will be made for the first time for your order. Our experts in the lab try to ensure that you receive soluble protein.
The big advantage of ordering our predefined custom proteins in comparison to ordering custom made proteins from other companies is that there is no financial obligation in case the protein cannot be expressed or purified.
Expression System:- ALiCE®, our Almost Living Cell-Free Expression System is based on a lysate obtained from Nicotiana tabacum c.v.. This contains all the protein expression machinery needed to produce even the most difficult-to-express proteins, including those that require post-translational modifications.
- During lysate production, the cell wall and other cellular components that are not required for protein production are removed, leaving only the protein production machinery and the mitochondria to drive the reaction. During our lysate completion steps, the additional components needed for protein production (amino acids, cofactors, etc.) are added to produce something that functions like a cell, but without the constraints of a living system - all that's needed is the DNA that codes for the desired protein!
Concentration:- The concentration of our recombinant proteins is measured using the absorbance at 280nm.
- The protein's absorbance will be measured against its specific reference buffer.
- We use the Expasy's ProtParam tool to determine the absorption coefficient of each protein.
-
Purification
- One-step Strep-tag purification of proteins expressed in Almost Living Cell-Free Expression System (ALiCE®).

-
Alternative Name
- Myd88

Background
- Myeloid differentiation primary response protein MyD88,FUNCTION: Adapter protein involved in the Toll-like receptor and IL-1 receptor signaling pathway in the innate immune response (PubMed:9697844). Acts via IRAK1, IRAK2, IRF7 and TRAF6, leading to NF-kappa-B activation, cytokine secretion and the inflammatory response (PubMed:9575168, PubMed:9697844). Increases IL-8 transcription. Involved in IL-18-mediated signaling pathway (PubMed:9697844). Activates IRF1 resulting in its rapid migration into the nucleus to mediate an efficient induction of IFN-beta, NOS2/INOS, and IL12A genes (PubMed:17018642). Upon TLR8 activation by GU-rich single-stranded RNA (GU-rich RNA) derived from viruses, induces IL1B release through NLRP3 inflammasome activation (By similarity). MyD88-mediated signaling in intestinal epithelial cells is crucial for maintenance of gut homeostasis and controls the expression of the antimicrobial lectin REG3G in the small intestine (PubMed:17635956, PubMed:21998396). Mediates leukocyte recruitment at the inflammatory site (PubMed:18941239). {ECO:0000250|UniProtKB:Q99836, ECO:0000269|PubMed:11909531, ECO:0000269|PubMed:17018642, ECO:0000269|PubMed:17635956, ECO:0000269|PubMed:18941239, ECO:0000269|PubMed:21998396, ECO:0000269|PubMed:9575168, ECO:0000269|PubMed:9697844}., FUNCTION: [Isoform 2]: Defective in its ability to induce IRAK phosphorylation and NF-kappa-B activation and can function as a negative regulator of activation by IL-1 or lipopolysaccharide (LPS). {ECO:0000269|PubMed:11909531}.
