- Background
- Melanoma antigen recognized by T-cells 1, also known as MLANA, is involved in melanosome biogenesis by ensuring the stability of GPR143. This protein plays a vital role in the expression, stability, trafficking, and processing of melanocyte protein PMEL, which is critical to the formation of stage II melanosomes. Recombinant human MLANA protein, fused to His-tag at N-terminus, was expressed in E.coli and purified by using conventional chromatography techniques.
