    Background
IFNL1 also known as Interferon lambda-1. This protein is cytokine with immunomodulatory activity and may play a role in antiviral immunity. It is ligand for the heterodimeric class II cytokine receptor composed of IL10RB and IFNLR1. The ligand/receptor complex seems to signal through the Jak-STAT pathway. Recombinant human IFNL1, fused to His-tag at N-terminus, was expressed in E.coli.
