    Purification tag / Conjugate
This IL-10 protein is labelled with His tag.
    Purpose
    IL-10 (human) (rec.) (His)
    Specificity
    Human IL-10 (aa 19-178) is fused at the C-terminus to a His-tag.
    Characteristics
Protein. Human IL-10 (aa 19-178) is fused at the C-terminus to a His-tag. Source: HEK 293 cells. Endotoxin content: <0.01EU/μg protein (LAL test, Lonza). Lyophilized from 0.2μm-filtered solution in PBS. Purity: >95 % (SDS-PAGE). Interleukin-10 (IL-10) is a cytokine produced by activated Th2 cells, B cells, keratinocytes and monocytes/macrophages. In vitro murine and human IL-10 inhibits cytokine synthesis by Th1 cells, natural killer cells and monocytes/macrophages. Several studies have suggested the potential application of IL-10 as an anti-inflammatory agent in the treatment of septic shock and as an immunosuppressive agent in certain T cell mediated autoimmune diseases.
    Purity
    >95 % (SDS-PAGE)
    Endotoxin Level
    <0.01EU/μg protein (LAL test, Lonza).
    Biological Activity Comment
    Determined by the dose-dependent co-stimulation (with human IL-4) of MC/9 cells. The ED50 was found to be < 2.0 ng/ml, corresponding to a specific activity of > 5 x 105 units/mg.
