    Background

Cofilin is a family of actin-binding proteins which disassembles actin filaments. It is a widely distributed intracellular actin-modulating protein that binds and depolymerizes filamentous F-actin and inhibits the polymerization of monomeric G-actin in a pH-dependent manner. It is involved in the translocation of actin-cofilin complex from cytoplasm to nucleus. Recombinant human Cofilin, fused to His-tag at N-terminus, was expressed in E.coli and purified by using conventional chromatography techniques. Synonyms: CFL1, CFL, Cofilin 1, CFL1, CFL, 18 kDa phosphoprotein(p18) 18 kDa phosphoprotein, CFL 1, Cofilin 1, Cofilin 1 non muscle, Cofilin non muscle isoform, P18. NCBI no.: NP _005498
