    Background
ARL6, also known ADP-ribosylation factor-like protein 6, belongs to the ARF family of GTP-binding proteins. This protein is known to play essential roles in modulating membrane trafficking and cytoskeletal functions. Mutation in ARL6 causes Bardet-Biedl syndrome (BBS3). BBS is a pleiotropic genetic disorder characterized by obesity, photoreceptor degeneration, polydactyly, hypogenitalism, renal abnor-malities and developmental delay. Recombinant human ARL6 protein, fused to His-tag at N-terminus, was expressed in E.coli and purified by using conventional chromatography. Synonyms: ADP-ribosylation factor-like protein 6, BBS3, MGC32934, RP55. NCBI no.: NP_115522
    Molecular Weight
    23.2 kDa (206aa), confirmed by MALDI-TOF
