Key Benefits:
- Predefined custom protein - from design to production - by highly experienced protein experts.
- Protein expressed in mammalian cells and purified in one-step affinity chromatography
- The optimized expression system ensures reliability for intracellular, secreted and transmembrane proteins.
- State-of-the-art algorithm used for plasmid design (Gene synthesis).
If you are not interested in a full length protein, please contact us for individual protein fragments.
The big advantage of ordering our predefined custom proteins in comparison to ordering custom-made proteins from other companies is that there is no financial obligation in case the protein cannot be expressed or purified.

- TOMT (Transmembrane O-Methyltransferase (TOMT))
-
Alternative Name
- Tomt
-
Background
- Transmembrane O-methyltransferase homolog (mTOMT) (EC 2.1.1.6) (Catechol O-methyltransferase 2),FUNCTION: Catalyzes the O-methylation, and thereby the inactivation, of catecholamine neurotransmitters and catechol hormones (PubMed:18794526). Required for auditory function (PubMed:18794526, PubMed:28504928). Component of the cochlear hair cell's mechanotransduction (MET) machinery. Involved in the assembly of the asymmetric tip-link MET complex. Required for transportation of TMC1 and TMC2 proteins into the mechanically sensitive stereocilia of the hair cells. The function in MET is independent of the enzymatic activity (PubMed:28504928). {ECO:0000269|PubMed:18794526, ECO:0000269|PubMed:28504928}.
