  1. Our data suggest that ART1 could regulate EMT (show ITK Proteins) by regulating the RhoA (show RHOA Proteins)/ROCK1 (show ROCK1 Proteins)/AKT (show AKT1 Proteins)/beta-catenin (show CTNNB1 Proteins) pathway and its downstream factors (snail1 (show SNAI1 Proteins), vimentin (show VIM Proteins), N-cadherin (show CDH2 Proteins) and E-cadherin (show CDH1 Proteins)) and that it therefore plays an important role in the progression of colon carcinoma.

  2. up-regulation of ART1 expression is associated with the aggressiveness of glioma.

  3. Arginine ADP-ribosyltransferase 1 promotes angiogenesis in c (show HIF1A Proteins)olorectal ca (show AKT1 Proteins)ncer via the PI3K/Akt pathway

  4. The altered function and expression of P2X7 (show P2RX7 Proteins) and ART1 in the human CD39 (show ENTPD1 Proteins)+ Treg or CD39 (show ENTPD1 Proteins)- Treg cells could participate in the resistance against cell death induced by ATP or NAD.

  5. This study provides evidence that ARTC1 is activated during the endoplasmic-reticulum stress response, which results in acute ADP-ribosylation of GRP78/BiP (show HSPA5 Proteins) paralleling translational inhibition.

  6. ADP-ribosylation of HNP-1 (show DEFA1 Proteins) appears to be primarily an activity of ART1 and occurs in inflammatory conditions and disease

  7. ADPRT (show PARP1 Proteins) Ala762Val polymorphism may play a role in the etiology of squamous cell carcinoma of the head and neck or in linkage disequilibrium with other untyped protective alleles.

  1. The results demonstrated that ART1 gene silencing inhibited the growth of the spleen transplanted tumor and its ability to spread to the liver via metastasis.

  2. data suggest that ART1 promoted the expression of HIF-1alpha (show HIF1A Proteins) via the Akt (show AKT1 Proteins) pathway in tumor cells.

  3. the apoptosis rate in the ART1-cDNA CT26 (show DDX53 Proteins) cells treated with PARP-1 (show PARP1 Proteins) inhibitor 5-aminoisoquinoline (5-AIQ) and cisplatin increased, when compared with the ART1-cDNA CT26 (show DDX53 Proteins) cells treated with cisplatin only or the untreated ART1-cDNA CT26 (show DDX53 Proteins) cells.

  4. ART1 knockdown reduced survival rate correlated with reduced levels of phos-Akt (show AKT1 Proteins)(Thr308) and phos-IkappaBalpha (show NFKBIA Proteins) and reduced NF-kappaB (show NFKB1 Proteins) p65 (show NFkBP65 Proteins) nuclear translocation.

  5. Successive amino- or carboxyl-terminal truncations of ART1, an arginine-specific transferase, identified regions that regulated transferase and NAD glycohydrolase activities.

ART1 Protein Profile

Protein Summary

ADP-ribosyltransferase catalyzes the ADP-ribosylation of arginine residues in proteins. Mono-ADP-ribosylation is a posttranslational modification of proteins that is interfered with by a variety of bacterial toxins including cholera, pertussis, and heat-labile enterotoxins of E. coli. The amino acid sequence consists of predominantly hydrophobic N- and C-terminal regions, which is characteristic of glycosylphosphatidylinositol (GPI)-anchored proteins. This gene was previously designated ART2.
