  6. Positive results were found in 15 situations when genes were analyzed in groups of 3; the most significant result corresponded to polymorphisms of p53 (show TP53 ELISA Kits), ERb (show ESR2 ELISA Kits) and GSTM1 seen in 20%; PROGINS, ERb (show ESR2 ELISA Kits) and GSTM1 in 18%; and p53 (show TP53 ELISA Kits), ERb (show ESR2 ELISA Kits) and PROGINS in 12% patients., while 31.25% patients showed GSTM1- PROGINS and GSTT1 (show GSTT1 ELISA Kits)-CYP1A1 (show CYP1A1 ELISA Kits) polymorphism

  7. GSTM1 null genotype is significantly associated with poor overall survival and in patients with colorectal cancer, which suggests that GSTM1 null genotype confers poor effect on the prognosis of colorectal cancer

  9. the unconditional logistic analysis revealed that GSTT1 (show GSTT1 ELISA Kits) and GSTP1 (show GSTP1 ELISA Kits) IIe105Val polymorphisms could not influence the risk of gestational diabetes mellitus in a Chinese population. In summary, we suggest that the GSTM1 gene polymorphism could influence the susceptibility to gestational diabetes mellitus in a Chinese population.

GSTM1 Antigen Profile

Antigen Summary

Cytosolic and membrane-bound forms of glutathione S-transferase are encoded by two distinct supergene families. At present, eight distinct classes of the soluble cytoplasmic mammalian glutathione S-transferases have been identified: alpha, kappa, mu, omega, pi, sigma, theta and zeta. This gene encodes a glutathione S-transferase that belongs to the mu class. The mu class of enzymes functions in the detoxification of electrophilic compounds, including carcinogens, therapeutic drugs, environmental toxins and products of oxidative stress, by conjugation with glutathione. The genes encoding the mu class of enzymes are organized in a gene cluster on chromosome 1p13.3 and are known to be highly polymorphic. These genetic variations can change an individual's susceptibility to carcinogens and toxins as well as affect the toxicity and efficacy of certain drugs.
