Human MHC Class I Polypeptide-Related Sequence B (MICB) interaction partners

  1. we have found that the allele G of rs3828903 was significantly associated with risk susceptibility to SLE in the current population. These data together with the functional annotations of rs3828903 convert MICB into a main candidate for being an additional MHC gene associated with SLE susceptibility.

  2. this study presents the impact of a single nucleotide transition at SNPs associated with DSS (show NR0B1 ELISA Kits) on differential protein binding patterns with PLCE1 (show PLCE1 ELISA Kits) and MICB genes and on protein structure modification and their possible role in the pathogenesis of dengue shock syndrome

  3. there is no obvious correlation between the MMP9 (show MMP9 ELISA Kits) -1562 C/T SNP and the concentrations of circulating MICA (show MICA ELISA Kits)/B in the breast cancer patients.

  4. Findings shown here are important from an anthropologic perspective and will inform future studies of the potential role of MICA (show MICA ELISA Kits) and MICB genes in allogeneic organ transplantation and HLA-linked disease association in populations of related ancestry.

  5. IMP3 (show IGF2BP3 ELISA Kits) directly interacts with ULBP2 (show ULBP2 ELISA Kits) mRNA, leading to ULBP2 (show ULBP2 ELISA Kits) transcript destabilization and reduced ULBP2 (show ULBP2 ELISA Kits) surface expression and indirectly downregulates MICB with a mechanism functionally distinct from that of ULBP2 (show ULBP2 ELISA Kits).

  6. Reversal of epigenetic silencing of MICA (show MICA ELISA Kits) and MICB improves immune recognition and killing of Merkel cell carcinoma cells.

  7. We have now found a total of 15 individual MICB promoter sequences, varying by combination of 18 polymorphic positions within the MICB minimal promoter sequence.

  8. Our results suggest that locally sustained expression of MICA (show MICA ELISA Kits) and MICB in the tumor may contribute to the malignant progression of Gastric cancer(GC) and that expression of these ligands predicts an unfavorable prognosis in GC patients presenting large tumors.

  9. Estrogen upregulates MICA (show MICA ELISA Kits)/B expression in human non-small cell lung cancer through the regulation of ADAM17 (show ADAM17 ELISA Kits).

  10. Aligned with MICB*005:02, MICB*030 has a nonsynonymous adenine substitution at nucleotide position 50 in exon 3, leading to amino acid change from serine to arginine at codon 102 of the mature MICB molecule.

MICB Antigen Profile

Antigen Summary

This gene encodes a heavily glycosylated protein which is a ligand for the NKG2D type II receptor. Binding of the ligand activates the cytolytic response of natural killer (NK) cells, CD8 alphabeta T cells, and gammadelta T cells which express the receptor. This protein is stress-induced and is similar to MHC class I molecules\; however, it does not associate with beta-2-microglobulin or bind peptides.

Gene names and symbols associated with MICB

  • MHC class I polypeptide-related sequence B (MICB) antibody
  • MHC class I-related protein-like (LOC512825) antibody
  • PERB11.2 antibody
