Studied ABCB1 (show ABCB1 Antibodies) protein expression immunohistochemically in twelve human post-mortem brain regions known to play a role in schizophrenia, in 13 patients with schizophrenia and nine controls; found a significantly reduced density of ABCB1 (show ABCB1 Antibodies)-expressing neurons in the left habenula.
Using an integrated pathway-based approach, we identified polymorphisms in ABCC6 (show ABCC6 Antibodies), ABCB1 (show ABCB1 Antibodies) and CYP2C8 (show CYP2C8 Antibodies) associated with overall survival. These associations were replicated in a large independent cohort, highlighting the importance of pharmacokinetic genes as prognostic markers in Ewing sarcoma
The authors found that transient TUBB3 (show TUBB3 Antibodies) activation, through ABCB1 (show ABCB1 Antibodies), in response to the stimulation of FOXO3a (show FOXO3 Antibodies) expression, significantly contributes to the cross-resistance of the paclitaxel-resistant cell population and consequently limits the efficacy of both agents where cancer cells have developed multiple resistance.
MDR1 (show TBC1D9 Antibodies) and CYP3A5 (show CYP3A5 Antibodies) genetic polymorphisms significantly influence plasma trough levels and therapeutic response of imatinib in patients with chronic myeloid leukemia (show BCL11A Antibodies). Patients with GG genotype for CYP3A5 (show CYP3A5 Antibodies)-A6986G (P=0.016) and TT genotype for MDR1 (show TBC1D9 Antibodies)-C3435T (P=0.013) polymorphisms had significantly higher trough levels of imatinib.
Rescue experiments confirmed the combined role of LUCAT1, miR (show MLXIP Antibodies)-200c and ABCB1 (show ABCB1 Antibodies) on osteosarcoma proliferation, invasion and methotrexate resistance. Overall, results indicate the vital role of LUCAT1 in the methotrexate resistance regulation through miR (show MLXIP Antibodies)-200c/ABCB1 (show ABCB1 Antibodies) pathway, providing a novel insight and treatment strategy for osteosarcoma drug resistance.
Mdr1 (show TBC1D9 Antibodies) enforces T Cell homeostasis in the presence of intestinal bile acids.
Data show that co-treated with vincristine and XL019, a inhibitor of JAK2 and P-glycoprotein (P-gp), up-regulated expression of p21 and phosphorylated H2A histone family, member X (pH2AX).
Tangeretin could sensitize ABCB1 (show ABCB1 Antibodies)-overexpressing cancer cells to chemotherapeutical agents by directly inhibiting ABCB1 (show ABCB1 Antibodies) transporter function.
over-functional P-gp (show ABCB4 Antibodies) might play an important role in the pathogenesis of ITP (show ITPA Antibodies) and induce GCs (show GCLC Antibodies) resistance in nonresponsive ITP (show ITPA Antibodies) patients. The blockage of P-gp (show ABCB4 Antibodies) could be a promising therapeutic approach for GCs (show GCLC Antibodies)-resistant patients with ITP (show ITPA Antibodies).
Overexpression of augmenter of liver regeneration (ALR (show GFER Antibodies)) in liver cancer was studied and found to improve sensitivity to antitumor drugs by increasing the retention of intracellular drugs, at least partly through the modulation of the ABCB1 (show ABCB1 Antibodies) and ABCG2 (show ABCG2 Antibodies) signaling pathway.
The membrane-associated protein encoded by this gene is a member of the superfamily of ATP-binding cassette (ABC) transporters. ABC proteins transport various molecules across extra- and intra-cellular membranes. ABC genes are divided into seven distinct subfamilies (ABC1, MDR/TAP, MRP, ALD, OABP, GCN20, White). This protein is a member of the MDR/TAP subfamily. Members of the MDR/TAP subfamily are involved in multidrug resistance. The protein encoded by this gene is an ATP-dependent drug efflux pump for xenobiotic compounds with broad substrate specificity. It is responsible for decreased drug accumulation in multidrug-resistant cells and often mediates the development of resistance to anticancer drugs. This protein also functions as a transporter in the blood-brain barrier.
