Immunogen Peptide with sequence GSSKKVTLSVLSREC, from the N Terminus of the protein sequence according to NP_003653.1.
Specificity Variants (NP_003653.1, NP_001018119.1) encode the same protein
Cross-Reactivity Mouse (Murine)
Purification Purified from goat serum by ammonium sulphate precipitation followed by antigen affinity chromatography using the immunizing peptide.
Alternative Name Pirin (PIR Antibody Abstract)
Background Synonyms: pirin, PIR, pirin (iron-binding nuclear protein)
Gene ID 8544
NCBI Accession NP_003653
Research Area Chromatin and Nuclear Signaling, Transcription Factors
Application Notes ELISA: antibody detection limit dilution 1:128000.
Western blot: Approx 33 kDa band observed in human Heart lysate (calculated MW of 32.1 kDa according to NP_003653.1). In transfected HEK293 transiently expressing PIR a band of approx. 35 kDa is observed. This band is not observed in the non-transfected HEK293. Recommended concentration: 0.3 - 1.0 µg/mL.
