Immunogen Peptide with sequence C-RYKVDYESQSTDTQN, from the internal region of the protein sequence according to NP_001013416.1, NP_000589.2.
Specificity This antibody is expected to recognise both reported isoforms (NP_001013416.1 and NP_000589.2).
Cross-Reactivity Mouse (Murine), Rat (Rattus), Dog (Canine)
Purification Purified from goat serum by ammonium sulphate precipitation followed by antigen affinity chromatography using the immunizing peptide.
Alternative Name IGFBP3
Background Synonyms: IGFBP3, insulin-like growth factor binding protein 3, tcag7.703, BP-53, IBP3, IGF-binding protein 3, acid stable subunit of the 140 K IGF complex, binding protein 29, binding protein 53, growth hormone-dependent binding protein
Gene ID 3486, 16009, 24484
NCBI Accession NP_000589, NP_001013416
Research Area Cardiovascular, Atherosclerosis, Angiogenesis, Apoptosis/Necrosis, Hormones, Diabetes, Metabolism, Growth Factors
Application Notes ELISA: antibody detection limit dilution 1:64000.
Western blot: Approx 28 kDa band observed in Human Breast cancer lysates (calculated MW of 31.7 kDa according to NP_001013416.1 and 32.2 kDa according to NP_000589.2). Recommended concentration: 0.02-0.06 µg/mL. An additional band of 50 kDa was consistently observed, however this band was not blocked by the immunizing peptide and it is therefore a non-specific signal. We call for caution when used for other assays than Western blot.
