Usage: CD8 is a 32kD cell surface transmembrane glycoprotein expressed by most thymocytes, a subpopulation of mature peripheral blood T-cells and natural killer (NK) cells. CD8 is expressed on the cell surface as a heterodimer, comprising two distinct disulphide linked alpha and beta polypeptide chains, or as a CD8 alpha homodimer. - Comment
