Clone OFYS
Isotype IgG2a
Specificity This antibody reacts with LFA-1 alpha. This antibody blocks cell-cell adhesion and adhesion mediated events such as cell mediated cytotoxicity.
Characteristics Synonyms: Integrin alpha-L, LFA1, LFA-1, Leukocyte adhesion glycoprotein LFA-1 alpha chain, Leukocytefunction-associated molecule 1 alpha chain, CD11 antigen-like family member A
Purification Purified
Alternative Name CD11a / ITGAL (ITGAL Antibody Abstract)
Background CD11a, Leukocyte Function Antigen-1 (LFA-1) complex is a heterodimeric glycoprotein consisting of two non-covalently linked chains, a 180 kDa alpha chain and a 95 kDa beta chain. It is a member of the integrin supergene family of adhesion molecules, and is on virtually all peripheral blood leukocytes. The molecule binds to ICAM-1, 2 and 3 and mediates cell-cell adhesion.Synonyms: CD11 antigen-like family member A, Integrin alpha-L, LFA-1, LFA1, Leukocyte adhesion glycoprotein LFA-1 alpha chain, Leukocyte function-associated molecule 1 alpha chain
Gene ID 3683
UniProt P20701
Research Area CD Antigens, Surface Receptors of Immune Cells
Application Notes Flow Cytometry. Characterization of LFA-1 immunodeficiency. Monitoring of subsets in peripheral blood. Graft-versus-host disease. Analysis of CTL-mediated cytotoxicity. Studies of transplantation rejection. Functional studies of cell adhesion molecules.
Other applications not tested.
Optimal dilutions are dependent on conditions and should be determined by the user.
