- Purpose
- F(ab')2 Mouse IgM (mu chain) Antibody Phycoerythrin conjugated
- Cross-Reactivity (Details)
- Assay by immunoelectrophoresis resulted in a single precipitin arc against anti-Phycoerythrin, anti-Goat Serum, Mouse IgM, and Mouse Serum. No reaction was observed against anti-Pepsin or anti-Goat IgG F(c). No reaction was observed against other mouse heavy or light chain proteins.
- Characteristics
- F(ab')2 Anti-Mouse IgG (H&L) Antibody was generated in goat and detects specifically Mouse IgG. Secondary Antibodies are available in a variety of formats and conjugate types. When choosing a secondary antibody product, consideration must be given to species and immunoglobulin specificity, conjugate type, fragment and chain specificity, level of cross-reactivity, and host-species source and fragment composition. F(ab')2 Anti-Mouse IgG (H&L) (GOAT) Antibody is ideal for investigators in Immunology, Cancer, and Microbiology research.
- Purification
- This product was prepared from monospecific antiserum by immunoaffinity chromatography using Mouse IgM coupled to agarose beads followed by pepsin digestion and chromatographic separation.
- Immunogen
- Optional[Immunogen]: Mouse IgM whole molecule

- Application Notes
- Application Note: F(ab')2 Anti-Mouse IgM Phycoerythrin Conjugated Antibody has been tested by dot blot and is suitable for immunomicroscopy and flow cytometry or FACS analysis as well as other antibody based fluorescent assays requiring extremely low background levels, absence of F(c) mediated binding, lot-to-lot consistency, high titer and specificity. The maximum amount of reagent required to stain 1 x 10E6 cells in flow cytometry is approximately 1.0 μg of antibody conjugate. Lesser amounts of reagent may be sufficient for staining. Optimal titers for other applications should be determined by the researcher. As a general guideline dilutions of 1:100 to 1:250 should be suitable for most applications. Flow Cytometry Dilution: 1:100 - 1:250 IF Microscopy Dilution: 1:100 - 1:250 Other: FLOW 1:100 - 1:250

- Background
- Because of their smaller size, F(ab)2 fragments offer several advantages over intact antibodies for use in certain immunochemical techniques and experimental applications. F(ab)2 fragments penetrate tissue samples and show better antigen recognition and signal generation in IHC. F(ab)2 fragments lack the Fc region and therefore do not bind Fc receptors which effectively lowers background staining. F(ab')2 Anti-Mouse IgM Antibody is ideal for investigators who routinely perform flow cytometry, immunohistochemistry or IHC and other immunoassays.
