Characteristics This is a rabbit polyclonal antibody against TGM5. It was validated on Western Blot using a cell lysate as a positive control. We strive to provide antibodies covering each member of a whole protein family of your interest.
Purification Affinity Purified
Alternative Name TGM5
Background TGM5 belongs to the transglutaminase superfamily, transglutaminase family. It catalyzes the cross-linking of proteins and the conjugation of polyamines to proteins. It contributes to the formation of the cornified cell envelope of keratinocytes. Defects in TGM5 are a cause of peeling skin syndrome acral type (APSS).
